Hyderabad, Feb. 21 -- union Minister for Rural Development, Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Saturday said the Centre has set an ambitious target of creating six crore Lakhpati Didis across the country, with a detailed roadmap already in place to strengthen women-led rural livelihoods.

Talking to the media after participating in the 25th Meeting of the National Coordination Committee of the Rural Development Department held here, the Minister said the meeting was conducted in an enthusiastic atmosphere and focused on reviewing the progress of the Lakhpati Didi initiative, along with discussions on bank credit, insurance, pensions and future strategies.
