Chennai, Aug. 4 -- Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin today said the government will set up a `Space Park' in Thoothukudi, around 600 km from here.
Speaking at the Tamil Nadu Rising Investors Conclave in Thoothukudi, Stalin also said that as part of the state government's efforts to expand the shipbuilding industry a separate organisation will be formed for upgrading the infrastructure for the industry.
He also said for the export and farming of drumsticks a common facilitation centre will be set up with an outlay of Rs.5.59 crore in Thoothukudi and Tirunelveli districts.
Stalin said the proposed Space Park will attract investment from players who make components and other items for the space sector.
