Pune, Feb. 8 -- Noted marathi actor Sayaji Shinde on Sunday claimed that discussions on the reunification of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) factions had taken place in his presence.
Talking to reporters here, Shinde who joined the NCP (Ajit Pawar group) in 2024 ahead of the assembly elections, said a unified NCP was the "cherished dream of Ajitdada".
He said that the unity of both Pawar families is essential in the larger interest of Maharashtra. Following the accidental demise of former Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Shinde recently met Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar and NCP veteran Sharad Pawar who heads the parent party.
