Betul, Oct. 6 -- In the wake of two children dying in this district after allegedly consuming Coldrif cough syrup, the administration clarified that neither of the minors received treatment within the district, nor was the sale of the syrup reported locally.
Collector Narendra Kumar Suryavanshi said that Kabir (4), a resident of Kalmeshwara village, and Garbhit (2), from Jamun Bichhua village, were treated outside the district.
"Kabir died on September 8 outside this district, while the other child received treatment at Parasia in Chhindwara district and later died at Ladi village in Amla tehsil of Betul," he said.
