Patna, Sept. 28 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi today lauded the efforts and initiatives of Sweety Kumari from Madhubani district in Bihar, which paved the way for her economic empowerment.
In the 126th episode of his monthly radio address 'Mann Ki Baat', PM Modi highlighted Sweety's economic empowerment initiatives.
Appreciating her efforts, Modi said Sweety founded Sankalp Creations, an initiative that has transformed traditional Mithila painting into a sustainable livelihood for over 500 rural women.
He added that these women are now on the path to self-reliance, showcasing how cultural heritage can be a source of income and empowerment.
