Kolhapur, Nov. 1 -- Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghatana (SSS) national president and former Mp Raju Shetty today demanded that district administration should immediately negotiate a settlement on first installment for sugarcane of Rs 3,751 per tonne otherwise they would sternly oppose proposed visit of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to the city on November 5.
Addressing a party workers meeting here this evening, he said that if the district administration failed to convenel a meeting of sugar mill owners and Shetkari Sanghatana leaders on November 3 then they will 'welcome' Fadnavis, who is visiting the city on November 5 to participate in a function, in their own style.
