Lucknow, Sept. 21 -- Two youths were killed and six others injured after a speeding SUV collided with an e-rickshaw in the Cantonment area of the state capital Lucknow, police sources said today.
Police sources said that Mohit (23) and Umesh Sahu (26) both residents of Nigohan's Uttarwan, died in the accident that took place late yesterday evening.
"Mohit got married in February this year and his wife is pregnant," they said.
Police sources said that the injured, identified as Bhupendra, Ansh, Pramod, Anuj, and Sumit Yadav, were taken to the KGMU Trauma Center.
Eyewitnesses said the collision near the Command Hospital was so severe that the e-rickshaw riders were thrown several feet away and lay writhing in pain on the road.
