Nahan(HP), Oct. 28 -- An inmate died under suspicious circumstances today at Nahan Adarsh Central Jail, one of the oldest jails in Himachal Pradesh. Pipendra (46), a resident of the Pauri Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, was serving a one-and-a-half-year sentence in the Nahan Jail in connection with an NDPS case.
According to reports, Pipendra suddenly felt uneasy and fainted around 10 a.m., a sentry alerted the constable. He was then immediately taken to the hospital dispensary in an unconscious state. Due to his critical condition, he was referred to the medical college, where the doctor on duty declared him dead.
