Lucknow, Jan. 27 -- The resignation of PCS officer Alankar Agnihotri has escalated into a full-blown confrontation with the Uttar Pradesh government, causing significant churn within the state bureaucracy.
Agnihotri, who tendered his resignation on Republic Day in protest against what he described as an assault on "Brahmin identity" and the UGC regulations, is now facing disciplinary action from the state administration.
Following news of his suspension, Agnihotri vacated his official residence late on Monday night. His belongings were loaded onto a truck and sent to Lucknow, sources confirmed on Tuesday.
