Kolkata, Dec. 8 -- Suspended Trinamool Congress MLA Humayun Kabir on Monday sought adequate security arrangements for himself from both the central and state government, apprehending a "life threatening attack" in view of his proposed project to construct a new Babri Masjid in West Bengal's Murshidabad district.

"As an immediate measure, I will appoint eight private security personnel from tomorrow for myself as I am getting threat calls from outside the state, after laying the foundation stone on December 6 for a Babri Masjid," the Bharatpur legislator told reporters.

"I have also mailed the state government as well as to the Centre for providing security after getting threat calls," Kabir said.
