Bahraich, Oct. 10 -- A seven-year-old girl was injured in a suspected wild animal attack today evening in the Bahraich district, marking the second such incident in less than 24 hours. The attack occurred around 4:45 PM in Godhiya No. 3 village under Kaiserganj tehsil.

According to Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Ram Singh Yadav, the victim, Neha, daughter of Gangaram, was playing outside her home when she was attacked by what is believed to be a wolf. She was taken to the Kaiserganj Community Health Centre for treatment.

Forest department teams have since launched a combing operation to locate the animal and have advised villagers to remain indoors at night and keep their homes secured.
