Lucknow, April 25 -- The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) will approach the court on Monday to seek police custody remand of two suspected terrorists, Tushar Chauhan alias Hizbullah and Sameer Khan, who were arrested for allegedly planning a terror attack. Officials say that during the remand period, investigators aim to uncover the broader plans of a group identified as Tehreek-e-Taliban Hindustan.
Based on initial interrogation, the ATS is attempting to identify other members of the module. According to sources, the network is believed to have links with Pakistan's intelligence agency (ISI), which allegedly adopted new tactics to threaten India's security and integrity.
