Suspected cow poisoning linked to tiger deaths: DCF
Mysuru, June 27 -- In a disturbing development from Karnataka's Male Mahadeshwara Hills, the deaths of five tigers and one domestic cow have triggered a high-alert forensic investigation. Deputy Conservator of Forests (DCF) Chakrapani, who is overseeing the probe, revealed today that preliminary findings point to possible poisoning - potentially through the carcass of a cow intentionally laced with toxic substances.
Speaking to reporters at the scene, Chakrapani confirmed that samples from the five deceased tigers and the cow were collected during post-mortem examinations and dispatched to three separate laboratories: the forensic labs in Mysuru and Bengaluru, and the veterinary laboratory in Hebbal, Bengaluru.
