Sambhal (UP), Dec. 30 -- After a detailed measurement survey of a graveyard in Sambhal, District Magistrate Rajendra Pensiya gave his first official response, confirming that a significant portion of the land has been encroached upon. The survey was conducted under the supervision of the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police, covering nearby houses and shops on Tuesday.
According to DM Rajendra Pensiya, complaints were received about encroachment on a graveyard spread over 4,780 square metres. During the on-ground survey, it was found that about 1,200 to 1,500 square metres of the land have been occupied by residential houses and commercial shops.
