Bengaluru, March 18 -- Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Wednesday reiterated that the selection of candidates for the upcoming bypolls to the Bagalkote and Davanagere South Assembly constituencies will be decided by the Congress high command, with party general secretary in charge Randeep Singh Surjewala slated to visit the state on Friday for consultations.
A Congress team that visited both constituencies has been asked to submit its assessment, which will be discussed with Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar before finalising recommendations for the high command.
