Bengaluru, July 15 -- Amid a flurry of behind-closed-door meetings between senior Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala and Karnataka ministers, Home Minister Dr G Parameshwara has clarified that while internal evaluations are not unusual, there is no clarity on the specific nature or agenda of the current consultations - especially as some senior ministers like him have not yet been summoned.
Addressing the media today, Dr Parameshwara distanced himself from speculation that the meetings were part of a structured performance review. "These kinds of internal assessments have always happened - even during SM Krishna's tenure, we submitted reports on departmental work," he said.
