Bengaluru, July 14 -- Senior Congress leader and AICC General Secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala today alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is "habitually insulting" the people of Karnataka and treating the state as a "money minting machine", rather than respecting its interests.

Speaking to reporters, Surjewala said, "This is not just an insult to the Chief Minister of Karnataka, but to seven crore Kannadigas. The BJP treats Karnataka not as a partner in development, but only as a source of revenue."
