Kolkata, April 25 -- Primarily on the back of a surge in shipments to West Asia and North Africa (WANA), North East Asia, and CIS countries, annual engineering goods exports from India turned positive in fiscal 2023-24.

The share of engineering goods in total merchandise exports from the country also increased during this financial year, according to EEPC India.

India's total engineering goods exports in FY24 stood at US$109.32 billion, up 2.13 per cent over US$107.04 billion in FY23.

According to the Quick Estimates of the Department of Commerce, Government of India, the share of engineering exports in India's total merchandise exports during fiscal 2023-24 increased to 25.01 per cent from 23.73 pc in 2022-23.
