Puducherry, Oct. 22 -- The Surge in Coronavirus cases and fatalities continued in the Union Territory with 212 more persons tested positive for COVID-19 and two patients died since the last 24 hours.
According to COVID-19 status released by the health department here on Thursday, there were 4,039 active cases, ending at 10 AM, this morning.
As many as 167 new cases were reported in Puducherry region, 20 in Karaikal region, 12 in Yanam region and 13 in Mahe region.
Among the 195 patients discharged in the last 24 hours, 161 of them were from Puducherry region,12 from Karaikal region, 4 from Yanam region and 18 from Mahe region.
One death each were reported in Puducherry and Karaikal regions.
