New Delhi, Nov. 26 -- The Supreme Court on Wednesday suggested that the union Government consider bringing back, as a temporary and interim measure, a group of West Bengal residents who were allegedly deported to Bangladesh on suspicion of being foreigners, despite their claim of being Indian citizens.
The Court observed that such persons are entitled to a proper hearing and an opportunity to submit documents supporting their claim to citizenship.
