New Delhi, May 1 -- The Supreme Court on Friday granted anticipatory bail to Congress leader Pawan Khera in a case arising from an Assam Police FIR filed on a complaint by Riniki Bhuyan Sarma, wife of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, over his allegation that she held multiple passports.
A bench comprising Justices JK Maheshwari and AS Chandurkar had reserved the judgment yesterday on Khera's petition challenging the Gauhati High Court's dismissal of his anticipatory bail application.
