Gorakhpur, Sept. 19 -- Chaos erupted at the administrative building of Deendayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University today afternoon when the Anti-Corruption Bureau team caught Superintendent (Affiliation Section) Brijnath Singh red-handed while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000.
The sudden operation stunned university officials and staff present at the scene.
The ACB has registered an FIR at the Cantonment Police Station regarding the incident.
The complaint was filed by Sandeep Kushwaha, a resident of Rampur Raja in Kushinagar district and the proprietor of Vaishnavi Mahila Mahavidyalaya.
