Chandigarh, Aug. 22 -- In a sharp rebuke of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)-led Punjab government, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president Sunil Jakhar labeled August 22 a "black day" for democracy in the state. Accusing Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann's administration of stifling public voices through oppressive tactics, Jakhar vowed that the BJP's efforts to raise awareness about central government schemes would not be halted by police action or government intimidation.
