Mumbai, Feb. 16 -- Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Minority Development Sunetra Ajit Pawar has directed officials to ensure fair and transparent distribution of funds meant for minority communities across the state, stressing that benefits must reach every eligible section without bias.
She said the functioning of the department should become more responsive to people and accountable in its approach. At the same time, she ordered a detailed investigation into allegations that certain schools had secured minority status certificates through improper means, and instructed that strict action be initiated against those found guilty after inquiry.
