Chennai, Jan. 9 -- The first day of the annual and much awaited Sundaram Finance Mylapore Festival, a treat to the connosieurs of music and arts, kicked off with a mesmerising group concert.
The concert was rendered by Ms Meenakshi Sreenivasan's students at the iconic Kapaleeshwarar Temple.
The seamless fusion of carnatic vocals, violin and mridangam created a magical atmosphere captivating all the attendees.
As evening approached, the main stage event began with a traditional Nadaswaram performance at Sannadhi Street by Thiruvanmiyur's D. Rajesh and his troupe.
It was followed by an enchanting and exhilarating Namma Mylapore: Paatum Kathayum- a concert of music, stories and songs by Smt. Subasri and troupe, leaving the audience in awe....
