Kolkata, May 17 -- Union minister of state for education Sukanta Majumdar has congratulated Neeraj Chopra for breaking his own record by crossing 90 m mark in Doha Diamond League on Friday night.
India's ace javelin thrower Neeraj, however, finished 2nd even though he posted a record mark of
his own throwing 90.23 m, a national record.
Neeraj breached the 90 m barrier of his 3rd throw in Doha Diamond League as Germany's Julian Weber broke his own by throwing a sensational 91.06 m.
"Historic throw by Neeraj Chopra! With a massive 90.23m javelin at the Doha Diamond League, he crosses the 90m mark for the first time in his career!," Majumdar said as he congratulated India's famous athlete.
