Chandrapur, Nov. 20 -- A 17-year-old student was found dead allegedly by suicide in his hostel room at Janata Career Launcher early today morning, police said.
Prathamesh Gulab Choudhari, a resident of Dhanori Pipri and a junior college student at Janata Junior College, Chandrapur, was discovered hanging with a nylon rope at around 6:30 a.m.
Fellow students immediately alerted the hostel management. Police reached the site shortly after receiving the call.
The incident sparked concern among locals after police reportedly did not release details of the case until late evening, prompting speculation about possible foul play.
