New Delhi, Dec. 24 -- Air quality in the national capital recorded a drastic improvement on Wednesday, pushing the city's air from the 'severe' to 'poor' within a single day.
According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data, 24-hour rolling average air quality index (AQI) of Delhi's plunged to 271 on Wednesday, registering a sharp decline of over 140 points from Tuesday's 414.
Experts attributed strong wind currents over Delhi in the past 24 hours, aiding in the dispersion of the pollutants accumulated near the ground.
