Thiruvananthapuram, July 24 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that isolated areas in Kerala may experience strong winds with speeds ranging from 50 to 60 km/h between July 24 and 27.

"Strong winds are a frequent and hazardous weather event in Kerala, often leading to extensive damage and even loss of life. The public is advised to take precautions to stay safe," a release from the Disaster Management Authority stated.

An advisory issued by the Authority urged people to avoid standing or parking vehicles under trees during windy and rainy conditions, as falling trees or branches can cause serious accidents.
