London, July 8 -- Striker Callum Wilson confirmed that he is leaving Newcastle United after five seasons with the club.
Wilson scored 49 goals in 130 appearances for Newcastle United after joining from Bournemouth in 2020, despite a series of injury setbacks that frequently disrupted his campaigns.
He played a pivotal role in helping the Magpies qualify for the 2023-24 Champions League, as well
as finishing fifth in last season's Premier League, and lifting the club's first domestic silverware since 1955 with the League Cup.
The 33-year-old former England striker had been negotiating a contract extension after his previous deal expired on June 30, but will now move on, with the United States a possible destination.
