Madrid, Aug. 12 -- Celta Vigo announced the signing of striker Borja Iglesias from Real Betis today.

The move sees Iglesias return to the club where he spent last season on loan, scoring 11 goals in 37 appearances as Celta finished seventh in La Liga to qualify for the UEFA Europa League.

The 32-year-old cost an estimated 1.5 million euros (1.74 million U.S. dollars), and has agreed to a deal until the end of June 2027, with the option of extending it for a further season.

Celta kicks off the new La Liga season against Getafe on Sunday. Iglesias has had a difficult relationship with Betis coach Manuel Pellegrini.
