Imphal, July 19 -- The Foothills Naga Coordination Committee (FNCC) has launched an indefinite bandh in Naga-inhabited foothill areas of Manipur from today, protesting the alleged unauthorized construction of roads, the presence of Kuki militants' camps under the Suspension of Operations (SoO) agreement, and widespread poppy cultivation in the region.

The bandh, which began today, is primarily directed against the construction of the roads by Kuki militants in Manipur hills and naming it as Tiger Road, German road etc. Tiger and German are nicknames of Kuki militants.
