Lucknow, Dec. 5 -- Human-wildlife conflict continues to claim lives, and even stray cattle are proving deadly, officials confirmed on Friday.

In Hardoi, two people, including a woman, were killed in separate attacks by stray bulls, while a jackal mauled an elderly man sleeping in his field hut. Meanwhile, in Bahraich, two girls were injured in separate wolf attacks. Since September, nine people have died and 32 have been injured in wolf attacks in Bahraich alone.

In Hardoi's Bhadeuna village, Neelam was sweeping her courtyard on Thursday when a stray bull suddenly attacked her. She suffered severe injuries, and her family rushed her to Hardoi for treatment. She died on the way.
