Chandigarh, Feb. 26 -- The fifth day of the Haryana Assembly's budget session witnessed stormy scenes on Thursday as a heated exchange erupted over the identity of HCS officer Gayatri Ahlawat.
The controversy began during Zero Hour when Congress MLA from Rohtak, BB Batra, challenged remarks made by Cabinet Minister Krishan Bedi in the past. Batra asserted that the Minister had provided inaccurate information by linking the officer to the family of Leader of Opposition Rajinder Singh Hooda. He clarified that Gayatri Ahlawat is a retired military officer and warned that a privilege motion would be moved against the Minister for misleading the House.
