Aizawl, April 29 -- A spell of intense pre-monsoon weather has lashed Mizoram over thepast three days, leaving widespread damage to property and infrastructure even as authorities confirmed that no loss of life has been reported.

Official data compiled by the State Emergency Operation Centre under the Disaster Management & Rehabilitation (DMR) department indicates that at least 168 structures - including 155 private buildings and 13 government, community and church establishments - have been either destroyed or partially damaged since heavy rain and strong winds began battering the state on Monday.
