Ottawa, Jan. 27 -- Jordan Stolz of the United States completed his golden hat-trick at the ISU Speed Skating World Cup in Calgary, Canada as he captured the title of the men's 500 meters.
Having reaped victories in the 1,500m on Friday and 1,000m on Saturday, the 20-year-old American crossed the line in 33.85 seconds on Sunday, only 0.16 seconds off the track record he had set at last year's World Single Distance Championships.
"I felt like, technically, I raced really well, although I was a little tired from the last two days," Stolz said.
Jenning de Boo of the Netherlands, who had finished runner-up to Stolz in Saturday's men's 1,000m race, finished 0.02 behind for another silver.
