New Delhi, Jan. 30 -- The Indian stock market snapped the three-day winning streak, with the Nifty slipping below 25,250 on Friday.
At close, the Sensex was down 296.59 points or 0.36% at 82,269.78, and the Nifty was down 98.25 points or 0.39% at 25,320.65. Nifty Midcap index slipping 0.2%, while the Smallcap index gained 0.3%.
Among the sectors, Nifty Metal lost by 5.21%, IT was down by 1.03%, Private Bank down by 0.63%, Oil & Gas down by 0.53%, Nifty Bank fell by 0.58%, while the Financial Services index ended 0.65% lower.
On the gaining side were Media, FMCG, and Consumer Durables rose over 1% each. Auto, Realty, and Pharma rose by almost 1% each.
