New Delhi, Dec. 30 -- The stock market on Tuesday ended marginally lower as investors remained cautious. At close, the Sensex was down 20.46 points or 0.02% at 84,675.08, and the Nifty was down 3.25 points or 0.01%at 25,938.85.
The development comes ahead of release of Fed's December minutes report, FII selling with thin year-end volumes.
BSE Midcap and smallcap indices ended marginally lower. BSE Midcap index slipped 0.05%, while the Smallcap index dropped by 0.20%.
