Lucknow, Dec. 11 -- The Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) has achieved a major breakthrough with the arrest of Afzar Ahmed, a wanted criminal carrying a reward of Rs 50,000.
He was wanted in Case Crime No. 86/2023 registered at Police Station Bithari Chainpur, District Bareilly, under IPC Sections 147, 384, 506, 201, 120B, 195A, 34, 119, along with Sections 7/8/13 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, Sections 42B/54 of the Prison Act, and Section 7 of the CLA Act.
According to ADG law and order Amitabh Yash, the STF had been receiving information about absconding and reward-listed criminals being involved in criminal activities.
