Bhubaneswar, May 23 -- The Special Task Force (STF) of the Odisha Crime Branch has arrested Md Aslam, the mastermind behind an illegal arms racket, from Munger in Bihar.
According to STF sources, based on intelligence inputs, a team was dispatched to Munger to apprehend the key accused.
A raid was subsequently conducted on May 20 by the STF team with assistance from Kasimbazar Police Station staff, Munger. Md Aslam was successfully apprehended during the operation.
He has been booked under Sections 111(2)(b), 111(3), and 61(2) of the BNS-2023, read with Sections 25(1-AA) and 27 of the Arms Act, 1959.
