Meerut, Dec. 26 -- A Special Task Force (STF) team of Uttar Pradesh, under the leadership of Jawad Alam Siddiqui, has busted a large interstate GST fraud syndicate allegedly involved in registering bogus firms and generating fake invoices and e-way bills, causing huge losses to government revenue.
The operation was carried out on December 26, 2025, in the National Capital Region (Delhi) and Meerut district.
The STF was deployed for intelligence gathering along with investigating officers related to the case.During intelligence collection, the team received information that a well-organized gang involved in GST evasion was active in Meerut.
