Bengaluru, Aug. 5 -- Bus transport services across several districts of Karnataka were severely disrupted today as employees of the state-run transport corporations launched a statewide strike demanding better pay and service conditions.
While a few cities saw partial operations, most regions reported a complete halt in services, leaving passengers-particularly in rural areas-stranded.
In Mandya, KSRTC buses remained off the roads following failed negotiations between the transport workers and the government. Bus stations across the district wore a deserted look as rural commuters were left without any transport options.
