Ranchi, Oct. 6 -- The Jharkhand government has imposed an immediate ban on the use and sale of three cough syrups, Coldref, Repifresh, and Relife, following reports of 14 child deaths linked to these products in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.
Health Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari announced the decision today, stating that the government would not tolerate any compromise when it comes to the safety and health of the people.
The official notification, issued by the Health Department, directs a complete halt to the circulation, purchase, and use of the banned syrups across the state.
