Shimla, Nov. 21 -- A spokesperson for the State Taxes and Excise Department said on Friday that the department has shown steady growth in revenue collection over the past three years.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, the department has collected over Rs. 26,000 crore. This includes Rs. 10,248.56 crore in the financial year 2023-24, which increased to Rs. 10,880.57 crore in 2024-25. In the current financial year 2025-26, the department has collected Rs. 5,536.30 crore up to September 2025.
