Ranchi, Dec. 3 -- With the onset of December, state is experiencing a sharp spike in cold conditions as icy winds and rapidly falling temperatures have disrupted normal life across several districts. Khunti recorded a minimum temperature of 9.4degC, accompanied by 1 mm of rainfall during the past 24 hours, further intensifying the chill despite intermittent sunshine and partly cloudy skies. Light afternoon showers added to the severity of the cold.
