Moscow, May 3 -- A state of emergency was declared in Russia's Black Sea port city of Novorossiysk on Saturday after an Ukrainian drone attack, the city's mayor, Andrei Kravchenko, said.
Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry said that 47 drones were downed over Russia's southern Krasnodar Territory overnight. Regional Governor Veniamin Kondratyev said that three apartment buildings were damaged, as well as three tanks of the grain terminal.
"A state of emergency has been introduced in Novorossiysk," Kravchenko said on Telegram.
Five people, including two children, were injured, the mayor said, adding that they are receiving all necessary assistance.
