Bilaspur, Jan. 23 -- In a significant initiative towards strengthening, modernising and making fish seed production in Himachal Pradesh self-reliant, the Department of Fisheries organised a state-level workshop on the theme "Promotion of Fish Seed Production in the State through Best Management Practices and Technology Infusion" at the Directorate of Fisheries, Bilaspur.
The workshop was chaired by the Director of Fisheries, Vivek Chandel.
Field officers from across the state, particularly the in-charge officers of various fish farms, participated in the workshop. The objective was to make fish seed production in the state more effective, high-quality and sustainable, thereby further strengthening the fisheries sector economically.
