Hyderabad, Sept. 16 -- A state-level awareness program on the safety, health, nutrition, and empowerment of adolescent girls was launched at Praja Bhavan, Begumpet, today.
The program, organised by SERP in collaboration with the Department of Women and Child Development and UNICEF, brought together DRDOs, Additional DRDOS and DWOs from across Telangana.
Women and Child Welfare Minister Seethakka, who inaugurated the program, said the age between 14 and 18 years is the most crucial stage in a girl's life-a turning point physically, mentally, and emotionally. "If the right path is shown at this time, a girl can become a pioneer in society," she noted, stressing that empowerment comes through opportunities and awareness.
