Lucknow, Sept. 8 -- In a bid to prevent explosions and accidents linked to illegal firecracker manufacturing and storage, a 15-day "Special Campaign" has been launched across the state under the direction of Director General of Police (DGP) Rajeev Krishna. The campaign began on Sunday and will continue until September 21, focusing on identifying and shutting down unauthorized firecracker factories and storage units.
The statewide drive is being closely monitored by Additional Director General of Police (Law & Order), Amitabh Yash, who has issued detailed instructions to senior officers including Zonal ADGs, Commissioners of Police, Range IGs/DIGs, and District SSPs/SPs.
