Ranchi, Nov. 4 -- The Jharkhand government has ordered the release of compensation to the families of five individuals who lost their lives in incidents of Naxal violence across the state.

The decision, issued by the Department of Home, Prison and Disaster Management, comes more than a decade after the tragic incidents occurred.

According to the official order, the dependents of victims from Chaibasa, Gumla, Latehar, and Deoghar districts will receive Rs 1 lakh each as financial assistance.

District administrations have been directed to ensure that the compensation amount is credited to the beneficiaries' accounts at the earliest, providing long-awaited relief and a sense of justice to the affected families.
